The one advice that all mom's with grown children have given me these last 3.5 years has been to enjoy this time I have with my young children. Though it's a hectic time and some days are better than others, they all said that this was their favorite time and the time that they missed the most. I often reflect on this advice on days that I just want to tear my hair out and also on days when life just couldn't get any better. This week has been rough on us. We've all been sick, especially Lily. Lily's been terribly ill with fevers, puking and general miserableness. Every day all she wants is for me to hold her. Everytime I ask her if I could get her anything, all she asks for is me. My heart goes out to my little sick girl, and I feel so awful for her, yet I can't help but cherish these momments - when all my baby wants is me.
Yesterday we were able to go to the Tulips Festival with my parents. The girls had a lot of fun and we got some nice pictures. This was the second time I've ever been and it was GREAT! The first time I went was when I was 11-12 or something like that. Brought back some fun memories and created some wonderful new ones! There are more pictures on my FB account.
We really enjoyed finding the odd ball tulips. There were quite a few here and there and this was one of our favorites.
I REALLY liked the pink tulips. They were my favorites with white on the bottom. SO PRETTY!
